Do you create a new character after the new 1.8 patch?

Post » Tue Feb 12, 2013 8:51 pm

Are you going to stick with your old save file and move on were you left?
Or are you going to create a new fresh save with a new fresh character after this new patch?

If so, wich type of character are you going to make this time? let me know what kind of build your going for.

Im always interessted in people who create a new character, since there is so much to do in skyrim and you can always make your own way trough it.

Wich type of build re you going for? the Spell blade ? or a battle mage? or a thief?
Are you going for hunting? or just crawling dungeons and discover exploring etc, or being a good guy? and help people out by doing their side quest's
Wich guild's are you going for?
Will you be playing Master all the time?

All this type of things.
Let me know!

Im playing an assassin right now, with archery and sneak as my main skills.
I will be always playing on Master.
My goal is to finish the thieves and the brotherhood guild.
Most of the time all i do on this playtrough is just exploring the world, killing every creature / bandit, crawling dungeons or slay every camp, discovering, doing side quest's and maybe some hunting tho!
Also some crafting for my invisibility potions since im not an ilussion type of assassin, some pickpocket, lockpicking to gain a few coins.
And ofcourse blacksmithing to max my damage with the daedric bow and dagger.

You're absolutly right, i don't see why you shouldn't wait.. it's horrible to play a game wich you can't complete because of bug's that ruins your experience.
But for now, i just played trought the full night and morning and i didn't encounter any problem yet didn't even had to reboot my console.. no freeze or whatever i get most of the time a steady 30 fps with often some stutter for like 1-2 seconds, im playing also an old save but not huge one only 4.5 mb.. but still everything work's fine for me.
Did some quest's did some discovering-exploring stuff, crawled some dungeons.

Still going to stick with my old character because of the amount of work I put into him. He's done every quest the game has to offer besides the radiant ones and for a character that I made around patch 1.3. the game runs extremely smooth with him better than the last patch did so maybe just maybe if the DLC doesn't do damage to skyrim I might pick it up as a way of saying nice work Bethesda a good patch and a well done job.

A Hunter build mainly but tends to go into warrior or assassin mode depending on what kind of enemies I'm facing and the location that I'm in. My bother plays on the Xbox and said he found the DLC all three to fun and enjoyable. However he did say that DG was abit over priced for what he got.

Yes you must create a new character everyt time new update arrives. Then play 200 hours to see that lag has not been fixed. And same again after new patch.

Ah sounds alot of fun, that's the thing i love about these type of games it depends on the situation you're going trough to slaughter your enemies always a different way.
Well that's some good news, especially for us since both the dlc's are cut in half price :)

No you don't.. you can always play an older save if you're doing what you're supposed to do every new patch.
1# delete your game utility and patch, 2# start skyrim and install the game and the new patch, create a new save file, 3# reboot ps3 delete old save files.. start skyrim and load your new save wait 73 hours and you're free to go.
My brother test the new patches always on his old save of 200+ hours (13,5 mb) and i can't believe it but this time his save is going pretty well.. with often some stutter but most of the time a steady 30 fps.. we both played through the night without any crash.
Maybe still some broken quest's but still.. most of it is fixed.
