I know this is kinda old, but after discussing ranks and armor progression in another thread. I did some research and came across this interview. It has a lot of information I was looking for, and for people like me who are just finding out about ESO or just want to know more about the PvP aspect. It has some good stuff... I know i'm a DAoC fan, and I saw that they were working on a Darkness Falls type dungeon and that excites me...

TF: You mentioned spending alliance points on perks or items. Is this the alternative advancement system for PvP? Can you say anything about that yet?
BW: Yeah, there is an AA system for PvP, we call them “alliance points”. You accumulate a lifetime alliance point tally. There are ranks, we are looking at about 23 ranks at launch. Each rank gets you a new title and a new icon for your character. We are working on different ways to spend your alliance points, but the system is still in progress.

I highlighted this part because it was something I was discussing when it came to progression in PvP. Not just armor, but player progression. The incentive to make your character better, and not just the trinkets you earn. It really excites me to know that there is going to be a ranking system!

Edit : It also answers things like how you will look when stealthed to other players, bottle necks, and heraldry.

Sounds a lot like Realm Ranks.

Might even see very similar abilities that we saw with RRs.
