Anyone think the Ultimate Edition is worth the money? I really don't know. I heard it was a spiritual successor to Baldurs gate but don't know what that means.

YES, OH DEAR GOD YES.

*Ahem*. Yes, its well worth getting. Its one of the best RPGs released in recent years. While the DLC isnt particularly great, it does add a nice bit of extra story in places as well as the excellent companion Shale. Origins itself is simply an amazing game in my opinion. While it does have its problems, it's easy to overlook these. I've played the game through 6 times now, 1 with every Origin, and every time I enjoyed myself immensely and still found new things hidden in the world and hidden in conversation.

It's also a 'spiritual successor' to BG as it follows the same sort of style, that is, party-based tactical combat.
