Dear Devs

Before I start I would like to say just how excited I am to try this game and that I am genuinely praying to be part of the beta experience. I am new to this community, but not new to anything elder scrolls. Actually I signed up to this forum simply to make this post, then I will be on my way. I really hope I do not generate too much hate, but I do bring a solid 18+ years of TES experience to the table here. I really hope this message gets to the devs even though I know it is very late.

Here we go.. ehem.. Please don't mess this up. I really feel this is a chance to really bring TES alive, truly ALIVE. Not all of us wanted an online game, the experience would have to be butchered. The balancing would have to be game breaking, the choices in development would have to serve newcomers and skyrim fans. I have over 550 hours in my old morriwind game, I peeked just for this post, just now, and more than 400 hours in oblivion. Skyrim, its more like 150, because its just so watered down. Its not as bad as oblivion, but thats not the point. Restrictions on what I can do as a player will almost have to be in place, because it will for sure ruin alot of others games. In morrowind, years and years ago, my character was so OP (over powered) that I was able to use one spell, ;) , to clear Balmora, and beat Vivic in a fist fight. It made me love morrowind, my work and time made me a badass. Oblivion neutered some of it, with the immortal npcs and all, and the ridiculous enchantment restrictions. Then skyrim omg.. You could no longer make spells, or enchant armor and weapons the way you wanted to. Oblivion made speechcraft a joke, skyrim.. you get it. The last two games, you couldn't fail missions, and your hand was held the entire time. Were do I go? Well nooby here is a marker for you! Thats a long walk :'( Oh don't worry buddy just fast travel. Why even introduce horses? The journal system has become a joke, from detailed notes about your tasks to simply do this, here is a marker. Being in a faction or guild, really should have its pros and cons. Morrowind had the best example of this even if it was... primitive. Oblivion you could lead them all, and skyrim also. Skills have been simplified and dumbed down so much that it just makes the game easy, giving you multiple playstyles from such little choice. I for one believe someone using a dagger the entire game should not be skilled with a longsword, because its not even close to the same type of weapon.

My hopes here is that TES online will see my little rant to maybe, just maybe, keep the game depth as deep as it can go. Your choices will genuinely and directly effect your outcome. I understand you cant kill NPCs in an online game, but maybe some workaround for this, you see him, I don't. I don't know. Spell creation and weapon enchanting is something I would LOVE to see return in its full glory. Item prices set by players rather than the game. Daedric armor and weapons should be rare, like morrowind, RARE. Be able to mess up your missions! Don't hold our hands with a ton of waypoints! Bring back those lost skills that gave the game depth, like hand to hand. Eliminate that game breaking fast travel, mounts work just fine. Return the old speechcraft, and give the NPCs actual topics to talk about, give them depth! Maybe your character learns topics and then they can ask any NPC.

You zenimax.. You have the ability to make the greatest mmo ever based on the greatest series gaming has ever known. Nothing you will do can please everyone, just please keep in mind the fans, the true fans, that have supported this series since the beggining, almost me :P, and have been lost in the lore for the better part of 20 years. Please keep the choices for balancing to the most absolute game breaking scenarios. Towns will have to be safe places, I get it, and hate it, but thats the sort of thing I am talking about. I have always loved the games because of the freedom of choice I had, not just to go here or maybe go there, not just to pick one side or the other, but the real ability to do whatever I please. Please don't take that from us, and please don't mess this up. Best of luck, Best wishes, God bless you clowns for taking on this task. Please pick me for beta :D... that is all. You probably wont hear from me again on here.
