Question About Update.esm

Post » Fri Feb 15, 2013 8:53 pm

I apologize in advance if this question could have been isolated in an already existing thread, or if this topic has been posted in the wrong section.

Anyway... my question regarding the Update.esm...

I've just recently re-installed my OS, along with Skyrim. So far, I've only installed the vanilla game and three of the unofficial patches through the Workshop. When I went to make sure the load order was correct through the launcher, I noticed the Update.esm wasn't showing. Normally, the Skyrim.esm doesn't display through there, either, but I wanted to ask you guys here if this is normal behavior. I haven't checked the actual Skyrim directory to see if Update.esm is in there or not, but the game launches fine, runs fine, and looks great.

If someone can tell me whether or not Update.esm displays under the Data Files option on the launcher by default, I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you, and Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi FuzzyLuma,
Update does not display on the list in the launcher.
If you use BOSS to sort your load order, the order in the launcher will be re-sorted to mirror what BOSS has done.
The launcher is still useful to enable/disable (or even delete mods) from time to time if required...
Otherwise, because of SKSE (required for SkyUI) I never see the launcher anymore.
