What do you do when you have automatic CTD ?

Post » Mon Feb 18, 2013 10:31 pm

Hi !

It's my first post here, sorry if I had to introduce myself first.

So, here's the situation :
I have serious problems with Skyrim. Everytime I open it, it automatically crashes to desktop. I bought the DVD version, and synchronized with Steam.
I already had something like 150 hours playing. But now, everything it does is crashing.

I tried to uninstall/reinstall the game a dozen times, tried to run with steam offline, I deleted all my mods (they all came from the nexus). It still crashes.

What can I do to continue playing ?

(my config : Dell XPS 17 (laptop), Intel Core i7, 8Go RAM, 2,7Ghz, Nvidia GeForce GT550M)

Thanks for your answers =)

try putting your save files in a folder (goto Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves make a new folder move your saves into it) now start skyrim and make a new game, you should know now if its your save or game files
