I'm not sure if you've played Nehrim At Fate's Edge yet, so I'll detail how it works:
You don't use the vanilla trainer button (mod would set time trained per level to 0). Instead, you train through dialogue and most trainers have 3 skills which you can train all the way up to 90 regardless of trainer.
Of course, there's a catch: in addition to gold, you also require "Learning Points", otherwise the option disappears. You gain 10 of these every single level up. You can then spend these on trainers, or you can save them up for later use, as they won't go away when you level up.
You can also choose to level up a skill 1 level for 1 Learning Point or 5 levels for 5 Learning points at a time. (2 for 1 learning point and 10 for 5 learning points for Armorer, Mercantile, Security, Speechcraft, and Sneak.... Or Smithing, Speech, Lockpick, and Sneak for Skyrim)
A few additional ideas:
1. MCM Option to adjust the number of learning points given.
2. When loading at an existing save, make it so it'll give you 10 *( Your Current Level ) learning points right off the bat to make up for any lost learning points.
3. Make vanilla master level trainers offer 4 or 3 skill for 1 learning point, and 20 or 15 skill for 5 learning points for Smithing, Speech, Lockpick, and Sneak master level trainers, and 2 skill for 1 learning point, or 10 skill for 5 learning points for master level trainers of other skills. Just to make these master level trainers worth seeking out.
