I Miss too expensive weapons and items

One of the things i loved in Morrowind was the fact the some weapons/armor/clothes were too expensive to be sold. I remember the first time i saw such an expensive item in that game(Magebane). It cost 32.000 gold(it blew my mind). Some of these items were useless. Sheogoraths ring had a cost of 30.000 gold but drew your willpower 10 pnts with a 10 point boost in your personality. However one of the best experiences in the game was to loot a dungeon and find an item with a cost of 50.000 gold. Only the cost made you realize that this artifact is one of the most important in the world of morrowind regardless on how useful it was

In Oblivion there are some expensive items but they come from random loot. The most expensive item is mundane ring with 21.000 gold but i think if you are lucky you can find many mundane rings. Unique weapons like Umbra or Goldbrand are somehow expensive but their value was seriously devalued. Umbra's cost fell from 110.000 to 5.500 while Goldbrands cost from 150.000 to 6.500. In Oblivion the best unique weapons were slightly more expensive compared to the best daedric weapons

And we come to Skyrim. As far as i have seen there is absolutely no unique artifact that it is expensive. Most of them cost 1000-2000 gold but its a shame that such an important and legendary artifact like Mehrunes razor costs only 860 gold.On the other hand my epic daedric cuirass with a cool enchantment reaches a cost of 10.000. But since i can make as many daedric cuirasses as i want i dont feel satisfaction in the high cost

Weapons like Mehrunes razor are more artifacts of lore than weapons. They should be much more expensive

There are some rings in the Dragonborn DLC that cost around 5000.

I was just noticing how Dawnbreaker is a really cheap sword, despite having a unique enchantment and effect. I guess it doesn't matter in gameplay terms because I cannot imagine anyone actually selling Daedric artifacts, but it does seem unbelievable.

I agree. It seems the value of Daedric items are going down in each new installment of the series.

It took me so very long to get my Smithing to 70 in order to make my Glass Armour, I didn't power-level, simply upgraded weapons and armour I found and forged what I could for new followers. About 10 minutes or so after I achieved this, some lowly thief in a set of Glass Armour tried to rob me.

It would be nice if there was not only added value to specific items, but some level of rarity, as currently nothing is exactly scarce besides Dragonbone.

Yeah. Sometimes I count on thieves to deliver the goods. For some weird reason they are always stacked with the good [censored]... What's the moral here?

There are certain things in the game that I would not expect many to sell, those are the collectables. Even if all they are good for is to take up space in a display, the value of the weapon is the experience of finding it, not the gold I would get from selling it. To this end, the price should be astronomical, because the price is academic.

As long as there is enough mundane swag to sell to finance my travels, then the expensive things can be put on display where they belong.
