When I was a kid I dreamed of becoming a doctor. In highschool I already knew I svck too bad at Chemistry to pursue this career. Maybe I haven't tried hard enough, but I think I'll always regret this on a self actualization level, regardless how good I become in my field of work. Anyways I graduated Economics and I'm working in an advertising firm, lowest in the entry level tier.
Have any of you managed to follow your dream job consistently, from childhood to maturity? I'm in a bad mood atm and I'd like to hear some happy ending life stories.
I see a lot of failure or broken dreams around me, people who couldn't fully accomplish what they hoped for. Some because of life (independent of their will or material means) some because of negligence (I include myself here). The only one in my family who's truly succeeded is my sister, she always wanted to be a doctor (she had some influence on me too, until she left for university) and today she's a good neurologist.
In short, what used to be your dream career and how far have you come?
