How do I improve a combat skill the last 10 or 15 points wit

My one handed, two handed, and archery skills are all in the upper eighties. Opponents go down so fast I barely get a bump in the skill after melee. The easy way to reach 100 would be to get lessons, but I'd rather 'work' for it. I have hefty weapons, maybe using un-enchanted regular versions of the same weapons will help speed things up? I believe I've read here that you benefit the most when you practice a skill by using the most powerful spell or item at your disposal and I know this to be true for magic. Does this also apply to swords and arrows?

Ogma Infinium will net you five points (that you earn). There's a lady in the mountains south of Falkreath who will raise you 5 levels in archery for free (also earned as the training is real-time). Doing the Bards College Fetch quests can net you several more (that you must work for). Several other characters will give you a free point or two for doing minor quests for them. Use the Warrior Guardian stone to advance more quickly. Turn up the difficulty so enemies won't go down so fast. Weaker weapons level you faster than stronger weapons because you'll get more hits in.

Other than that, all I can say is to just use the skills like you normally would. One/Two handed and Archery level surprisingly fast if you use them regularly.

Grind, two pirates on the Red Wave are essential (The ship in the Solitude Harbor), turn the difficulty up to Master and start hacking.
