It's a very simple operation. In game, it works as intended. The amount of gold removed from the player is equivalent to my modified value....
...except one problem: the cost of travel displayed in the NPC carriage driver dialogue is still the default game value (50 and 20 gold, respectively), which doesn't make sense to me because the carriage script and the dialogue both poll from the same globals. It's mind boggling. Any ideas?
