Right, seeing that I'm a total newb at this sort of thing (but have HUGE artistic qualities), and rather than fill the forum up with loads of threads for different actions, I've decided to make this my own personal Q&A thread, if that's okay?

Anyways, I've decided to play things safe by starting out tiny. In my case I'd like to do what I'd guess is a basic function, which is retexturing of a banner with new colors and a new design. Simple yes, but very, very important, because I've always wanted to decorate my homes and future castle with my Dragonborn's own emblems. I've got the design I want to use, now all I have to do is to put it on a banner in the right color scheme. Can someone give me some pointers?

One last thing, I've got a thing for standalones, so any help with that process would be greatly appreciated.
