Heathfire review

Post » Sat Feb 23, 2013 6:14 pm

After finally getting to try heathfire I have a review. (PS3 user) it was good but should have been a lot better especially if people were to pay $5.00.

Firstly not to criticize but I've had bugs with it especially with the lake view property which I've yet been unable to obtain. The whole thing is much more buggy than skyrim is actually. Though except for this and some freezing the other bugs don't bother me.

Next. The houses respawn. That should not happen.

They also while very fun to build are not fun to stay around. Random spawns are fun though, what's not fun is other things.

Things that should have been in heathfire:

Auto placed weapons and non respawning houses

Adoption adding was probably intended to be in the original skyrim game. I liked how bethesda added other things to this even if they were buggy. Sorry if that didn't make sense.

There are enemy spawns inside around around the house. Also the house resets itself after after a period of time.

If you take the food off the tables or shelves it will be back if you leave for 10 days.if you try to decorate don't move anything and put your stuff in it's place such as stuff that's in bowls.

I'm very satisfied. One of my characters has built a house, two others have adopted kids. The bugs people talked about haven't occured. Well worth the $2.49 I paid, or the $5 original cost.

What he means is you will have random attacks at your house, possibly by anything Skyrim has to offer in the way of enemies. As for resetting, if you take items from inside that actually came with the house as you built it, or move items inside to decorate with your own things, after 10 days away from the house, it will reset and respawn. Meaning, items you took, such as food or potion ingredients, will reappear and you can take them again. The items you took or moved to put your own things in place will also reappear, and will displace whatever you put it those spots. Makes decorating a challenge, but's it's quite do-able. You might also

have to clear your cellar of skeevers every now and then.

Edit: Grace beat me to it. LOL

I think it is a great DLC, and it's only 5 bucks
It allows you to purchase 3 new houses, and have some control over it's layout (unike Breezehome etc)
The houses look great, and have a good amount of space and the areas nearby are nice
The adoption feature is neat
