:nope: Why would anyone want to kill him.

He didn't do anything to anybody...

Has probably been like that since he was a child. I killed me out of mercy of his insanity. A sad story indeed.

I don't know...

That one quest you do for him, he rewards you for it with random alchemy ingredients, right? Well the first time I did it, he handed me a human heart. Creeped me the hell out of Ivarstead.

Gave me a Daedric Heart. :)

I can't think of anybody that would want him dead.

I also think it's the inn owner but rather to put Narfi out of his misery and join his family.

A while back someone made a thread with their ideas about who took out all the extra contracts you do in the DB. IIRC their guess for Narfi was Klimmek (the guy who pays you to carry the supplies up to HH) because apparently he spends a lot of time standing down by the river just staring, longingly, across at Narfi's family home and plot of land.

Hmm, I never did mind killing Narfi since I always thought he was just a common beggar.

Now Lurbuk, that's where I cringed when I realized who I was going to put to death.

He's a beggar, Nobody likes beggars, no wonder someone arranged a contract on him.

No regrets about never doing the DB quest. Aside from killing Grelod (who needs putting down), it just gets endlessly nastier.
