Editing existing navmesh

Greetings!

So I've come to that point in my mod where I have to somehow link it to the rest of Skyrim.

I would like to maintain compatibility with other mods as far as possible, and I'm not quite sure what the best way is to achieve what I want.

The entrance to my new cell should be in Riften, and since a picture says more than a thousand words, here's a picture of before and after:

I was very careful not to touch existing navmesh triangles - the only point my new little patch touches the old navmesh is at the end of the ramp.

How will this work together with other mods that also modify the navmeshes in those two cells my mod touches (RiftenOrigin and RiftenCitySouth)?

Finalizing the navmeshes in those two cells also marked all surrounding cells as changed. I guess this is because of the touching boundary triangles?

Thanks for any hints if what I'm doing here is ok :smile:
