I'm playing Dawnguard and after I take Serana home and Harkon kicks me out for not accepting his gift of vampirism, the quest objective will not update to talk to Isran. If I go to Fort Dawnguard, the vampire assasins aren't there. It's as if the whole Dawnguard quest line just rolled over, sayed "Meh, I don't fell like doing it anymore." and died.

On top of this, the console isn't working. The command to set the quest stage doesn't work. It'll go through on the console screen, not saying that it didn't recognize something, but it will have no effect whatsoever.

When the problem first started I had a ton of mods on, but I've since reverted to old saves, unninstalled all mods, and reinstalled Skyrim. It really don't think it's caused by mods.


Oh, and might as well mention it that the Vigilant guy at the start of Dawnguard is somehow alive when I get to Dimhollow Cript, even though the vampires there are talking about how good of a fight he put up though he didn't have a chance.

I had mods, as well as the unnofficial patches, and other DLCs installed when the problem began. However I tried it again with all mods turned off and the problem persists.

The problems might exist in the save so removing the mods would not resolve this. Mods in this game do things to your saves, not all of it is a good thing. You would have to load a save from before you started the quest that is giving you this (if a mod caused this)

That... is extremely dissapointing. Unless there's a way to recover overwriten save files my last save left from before starting the quest was 20 levels and a few dozen hours ago.
