First, start by assuming you are not using Enchanting on any weapons (at least not the ones your character uses), but that you do temper/smith weapons.
It seems to me that lootable unique/quest related weapons favour 2H in damage and special enchantments. My dilemma is this: my Nord warrior has almost maxed his 2H skill so I'm looking to start using 1H for a while to start levelling that skill tree up. Problem is, I have a large variety of really good 2H loot/unique weapons to choose from and I love them all... but, in the 1H department, everything just seems weaker than what I could smith myself without enchantments (other than Molag Bal... love that mace). I'm torn.
So, does anyone have a favourite, practical, and particularly strong unique 1H weapon that they like to use (can you convince me that my dilemma is false)?
Also, does anyone agree with me that the 2H unique weapons are *better* than the 1H ones? I am open to changing my mind (alot of great ideas in a previous thread I had regarding light armour help rid me of some misgivings I had... not all though).
