i finally got to the fifth upgrade, the dwarven crossbow... but sorine INSISTS on sending me to BLOODSKAL BARROW to get it!

i DO NOT want to start the dragonborn expansion before finishing dawnguard, damn it... it'll throw me off completely.

is there any possible way i can get sorine to send me to one of the HUNDREDS of dungeons in skyrim, rather than that one specific spot in solstheim?

if the destination for the next quest is decided upon handing in a schematic... well, i already saved, unfortunately... but i think my autosaves are before i handed the shock bolt schematic in... so maybe i can get a different destination that way?

damn, i hope i can get her to send me somewhere in skyrim... i absolutely REFUSE to go to solstheim before dawnguard is finished.

bloodskaal barrow isn't in any way involved with the dragonborn main quest. it's a separate side quest related dungeon.
that said, why not load up a save from before installing dragonborn (provided you haven't already started any DB related quests or events) and finish the dawnguard quests then re-activate after?

although simply going through bloodskaal barrow will at best only take you to the 2nd quest of the DB main quest which you aren't really forced to continue immediately.
the wep found in bloodskaal barrow is more than fun to forget any mess ups

bloodskal barrow is ON solstheim... the dragonborn main quest is already started because i got attacked by the cultists immediately... IM ON PS3... so dragonborn came out first for me.

i played around on solstheim just a little to satisfy my curiosity while waiting for dawnguard... and it has to do with side quests in solstheim... and im not doing that before finishing dawnguard.

[censored], why dont people ever listen... i guess my only choice is to reload to before i handed in the schematic and hope sorine changes the destination...

if she doesnt, and keeps trying to send me to solstheim for a piece of paper... i guess im done with this game, cause i dont wanna progress the dawnguard main quest until i finish these side quests, and im not going to solstheim until i finish dawnguard.

She sent me to Solstheim two times. That was just annoying.

If you've explored there what's the problem? You don't advance the main quest in any way, shape, or form by going to Bloodskall Barrow. The cultists will attack you whether you've been to Sohlstheim or not. I got attacked as soon as I left Whiterun after killing the first Dragon.....

Bloodskaal Barrow can be challenging, but it is in no way connected to Dragonborn's main quest (aside from, obviously, being on the same island). I'm afraid that you'll just have to svck it up if you want that crossbow.

You could also reload from before completing the previous radiant quest, and see if you get a different target dungeon.

You've been to Solstheim before? That's your problem. The game specifically prevents radiant quests from sending you to Solstheim until you actually travel to the island.
