What I meant to say was, easy dragons were easy to kill even for guards, if you want that damn armor go kill a dragon I saw you do it before.
I kinda missed that point myself completely in my post, sorry.

Ahh! No prob, I have so many unused dragon bones and scales in stock I'd be happy to furnish them some REAL armor and weapons... for the right price, and at legendary for that matter. Bad thing about town guardsmen though is that they're not paid well so unless I get a Santa Claus mentality only myself or followers will be using them.

I think they have learnt what we like - once completing certain things in DB you can't get the townsfolk to shut about what you did, and how in awe of you they are

Oh god actually another thing popped in my head, they notice dragon scale armor, but not legendary artifacts?

Also, if I could, I'd be giving them armors away I have nothing to do with them bones and scales, perhaps my favourite armor smith wouldn't get killed by vampire invasion if I pimped the guards out.

Well a sword in a scabbard is pretty much a sword in a scabbard.

They do notice artifacts btw: ever walk around with Spellbreaker - they notice it's not your usual dwemer shield

Yeah, but there's no power in it, If I'm an arch mage in the College, why can't I teach student spells, or ask them to go on expeditions for their own sake, to bring me back goodies like herbs and stuff.

If I'm the leader of the Dark Brotherhood, why can't I let other people in the brotherhood do my bidding, not only am I the Listener, I'm still an executioner of lame townsfolk, for crying out loud you'd think you'd have some integrity not to do jobs like that after taking out the emperor and let it be done by less experienced.

Why do I have to go and save some poor soul as a head of a Champions, I didn't see the old guy do anything he just told me what he needs, and I don't have powers like that over anyone.

So, then how come that some guards say "Psst, I know who you are... "Hail Sithis" EVERY time I hear that, I want to kill that guard for knowing my secret! How stupid is that? They can say that, but on the other hand, they can't acknowledge that I'm the Harbinger or Arch Mage etc?

Now, I don't know if the unofficial Skyrim patch fixed that, but the guards in the towns now address me as "Thane" and ask me how things are. I also hear other acknowledgements, like OMG you wield the Star of Azura, how is this possible? They also address me as Harbinger etc. So, my actions did finally make an impact.

That was my BIGGEST gripe with Skyrim. The world felt like I was living in a vacuum, that no matter what I did, it really didn't matter and nobody cared...

As for the Star of Azura, that remark occurs in the vanilla game. But the rest must come from the mod, since I don't have said mod and have never heard those remarks. Sounds like a mod I need.

Actually they will comment on Azura's Star if you're carrying it and Malog Bal's mace which scares people to death. I also had one comment on Auriel's bow before I retired it since I prefer my dragonbone bow with fire enchantment so yes they will notice and comment on some things. They also like Dragon plate armor BTW

TBH once I've reached the top in a guild unless I need money I usually have nothing to do with it - it's just a game part that's fun to do and you get something out of it for your character but it's just a side line to the main quest. You're not supposed to obsess about what you are going to do with a guild once you run it - hell this happened in Morrowind as well, you got to the top but were still given jobs to do by the city guilds leaders.

Because those guards are part of the DB and serve as undercover guardsmen to be called when needed......................

Also, the guards DO call you harbinger, as for being arch-mage, no one really cares about the Collge, even the guards, they do know you joined the college, but what happens inside the college is largely a mystery to everyone.

As for the guards calling you thane, they already did that in the base game, but it was just super rare, in correcting some of the broken guard comments, and fixing the bugs that caused them to get stuck in loops of saying "what?" over and over again, it made previously rare dialogs more common.

But even after fixing it, ive heard guards call me thane maybe once in over 50 hours of gameplay.

Tell me, do those robes have a giant sign on them that says "THERE ARE THE ARCH MAGE ROBES"? because mine don't.

99% of people would just see them as normal mage robes, if not fancier. Especially considering the blanketing ignorance of the population about what happens in the College due to their fear of mages.

I want to know is how they can tell I'm a werewolf - next time a guard say I "smell like a wet dog" I'm gonna rip his throat out
They dont know you are a werewolf, which is why they never call you one............

you just smell like a wet dog.

Oh and i also wear Thalmor gloves and boots everywhere, so you'd think i would get more respect, or even fear, but im just a regular joe most of the time. Also, my imperial legate is always disrespected by imperial soldiers, they say things like "yes?" And "hmm?" When they should be saying things like "yes sir?" And "sir?" Only rarely do people say to me "legate?"

Reminds me of one time I was asking a soldier in Solitude for some information and he gave me guff about Need to Know. "You will tell me what I want to know NOW soldier." "Yes legate, my aplogies!"

Talk about satisfying.

Unless your an Altmer, no one would really suspect you of being in The Thalmor while wearing Thalmor robes. Nords aren't exactly in the Aldmeri Dominion. If you are an Altmer, well, I actually give you that one, though you CAN use a pair of hooded Thalmor robes as a disguise during the Diplomatic Immunity quest, as long as you are an Altmer.

How is saying "yes?" and "hmm" disrespectful? The Legion isnt exactly like the modern military where everyone always says SIR YES SIR to everything. Trying to take modern military actions and implant them on medieval militaries doesn't made for a realistic argument.
