Do the timer page still loads for you ?
For me it stopped counting and a music started to play,and the site was updated with new stuff.

Kind of annoyed, but not particularly. Would have been nice if you hadn't used the Bethesda or HumanHead logos though, that really threw people off. I still would have stuck around to see what it was, but I wouldn't have gotten my hopes up as much. Oh well.

OK. I suppose I have to thank you for telling us,at least that late.
So that was it. No Prey 2 news. We are still in the dark,as we have been for a year or so.
Back to whatever we were doing.

I was actually able to get on the site by refreshing about 8 minutes before the end of the countdown. It's a fansite, albeit a very nicely made one. http://i.imgur.com/ruPZhVb.jpg?1 is what one of the site's sub-pages looked like before it went down, and they've still got a http://www.aliennoire.com/forum/ you can sign up to.

Well, at least they aren't trying to sell us anything, unlike that Majora's Mask one. Gamgee is gonna be seriously pissed, though.

Figures! Right when they pulled me back in. Should have kept believing that Bethesda would have pushed the hell out off this game if it were going to be released. They pushed Brink like it was going to be the best game ever and look at that crap pile. Why would they stay silent on Prey 2? Guess it goes to show how much people with a passion for something are willing to believe.
Thanks for nothing guys! Starting a fan site where we can go and see all things related to the game is one thing but to pull this kind of stunt is garbage. Also to Bethesda thank you for giving us know real information on the standing of Prey 2 real helps a prank like this get carried out. No really your the best !!!!!!!

When there is official news to share, Bethesda will hype it. No doubt about that.

Also someone should change the topic's name to accurately reflect the website. 'Fake Countdown' doesn't bear any resemblance to reality. 'Prey 2 fan site launched' is a more appropriate title.


Thanks for all your efforts. No need for apologies. If the site didn't exist, people still wouldn't be talking about Prey 2. Beautiful site btw!
