Commiseration Thread for Hlaalu Brethren

Because we need it. :(

It makes me so sad to see our House as mistreated as it was. I actually had to put Skyrim away and go back to play some Morrowind after the whole Severin quest, it was just too depressing!

Granted, the Severin/Ulen family seemed like *really* bad Hlaalu. Who among us takes THAT long to plot some sort of vengeance?? We take our fellow Hlaalu rivals down faster than that. And the Morag Tong weren't exactly a difficult fight. I'd like to console myself by thinking that these guys were just the dregs of our house that HQ decided to let go do their own thing. I also like to think that upon our disgrace about 80% of all of Morrowind's wealth was buried in random holes and ancestral tombs (lol, and the Redoran wonder why they're always broke)...

But that brings up the following problem: for people who have never played Morrowind, this is their first experience with the Greatest of the Houses! How colored must their opinions of us be?!

Still haven't mustered the will to go back to Dragonborn yet. Building Balmora style houses in the CK to cheer myself up in the mean time.

What do you guys think? And what are you doing to cope with our disgrace?

O.o ... you mean the one House that allied with and accepted the Empire? 'Cause I don't think we're thinking of the same Hlaalu :P

I was not that sad that the house itself has fallen out of favour but rather that it appears that the corruption wasn't rooted out and that they continued to drift closer to Orvas Dren and farther away from Dram Bero.
