Hi!

I just tried for ~3 hours (real-time mind you) to travel around and back to my home in order for Alesan to FINALLY recognize I have a dog companion and ask me to keep him -- to no avail. He just won't ask me if he may keep him and when I try talking to him, the option to give him the dog doesn't appear either.

Last week, it already took me another two hours traveling back and forth for Sofie to recognize Vigilance as my companion and ask me to keep her. And I just don't have neither the will nor the interest to keep traveling around for anopther two to eight hours to achieve the same with Meeko/Alesan, so: Is this working as intended? Is it really meant to be pure luck if they ask for my dog companion or is there something I'm missing? Couldn't they just have added the option to be present whenever I have a dog companion that is no pet yet or would this be "not random enough"?

Any hints on how to get Alesan to ask me about Meeko?
