Dragon Age Origins, how immersive is it compared to Skyrim?

I'd say "how immersive it is compared to TES" but Skyrim was far more immersive than Oblivion for me (the only other TES game I've played).

Anyways I'm considering getting DA: Origins because people on the Bioware forums and here say its one of the best RPGs ever made and I'm getting it for PC so the controls should be better. So would you recommend DA: Origins for someone who only plays Skyrim, Oblivion, and the Mass Effect trilogy? I usually play as a Warrior or Ranger in Skyrim.

Also, I'm planning on getting the Ultimate Edition, can you play the game after you've beaten the main storyline? I remember that it had 80 hours of gameplay which is a lot for a linear RPG.

Also, would Gothica 3 be good? I've been recommended Gothica 3 on here, except I played the Gothica 4 demo for Xbox and it was just awkward and boring.

If we say that Skyrim is 10/10 for immersion (since it's the benchmark here), DAO is like 4/10.

If you like Mass Effect, can't see why you would dislike DA:O, though it's pretty different from TES. Same sort of thing except for combat: fairly linear with some choices as far as where to go, heavy on the companion conversations, full choice over whole party's equipment. Main difference from Mass Effect, the combat is a lot less exciting; it's an old school style party rpg rather than a third person cover shooter, to get the best mileage you need to spend some time with your party's tactics and composition.
