How do you deal with death?

Post » Thu Mar 07, 2013 1:46 pm

I found out yesterday that one of my aunts that I was kinda close to died yesterday. I took it with disbelief and shrugged it off but the longer I go the more it sinks in and then more I remember the good times with her. I'm an agnostic atheist so I dont believe in a god/gods but I also have not ruled out the possibility of one existing, I just dont believe any of the other religions are right. I also believe in the possibility of a after life. What it is I would not presume to know, I only think it could be possible. So where ever she is, if she is anywhere, I would like to think that she is no longer in pain.

How do you cope with the death of a loved one?

PLEASE DO NOT TURN THIS INTO A RELIGION DEBATE! Please be respectful of other peoples ideas and beliefs.

Well, when someone is suffering for a long time before they die, I like to think the suffering for them has ended, so I try to think about it as a "happy" thing. A silver lining kinda thing. It still svcks, but you can be more accepting of it.

I think about the good times and give them a place in my heart. It sounds cheesy, but it's true.
