How commited are you to become the Emperor?

I thought it would be interesting to see how many of us will play pvp for their personal goal to be crowned Emperor. Perhaps the majority will pvp for fun and cooperation, for the greater good of making their faction victorious, but I'm sure some dedicated pvp-ers are taking this goal very seriously to be the best in their faction.

I'm not sure I understand how this works, is there any info on how a certain player can become Emperor? Is it just the result of a single instance of a battle, or is it a general ranking across all instances of Cyrodiil? Will this encourage pvp-ers to be competitive and selfish within their own faction? How important will be the guilds in this, is a member of a cooperative guild in advantage compared to a solo pvp-er to become the best? And last but not least, which Alliance and race do you bet will be the first Emperor?

Becoming the Emperor should be a semi-big deal, meaning only truly hardcoe/skilled players should even get a chance. I don't want to see Casual Billy sitting on the throne.

And about my commitment: I'm not committed at all :P

guilds won't matter, good groups won't matter, player skill won't matter.
all that will matter is how much Alliance points do you have at the end of the week.
and since you'll get reward for any kill and any assist all you have to do is run 24/7 with the biggest zerg in your campaign and shoot an arrow at every enemy you see.
