Perhaps Someone Can Help Me

I realize this might not be the right place for this sort of thing but, I am gonna ask here anyway. Besides, it does pertain to ESO.

I am looking for a gaming laptop. I am not very computer savvy however. So...is it possible someone here could direct me to a good gaming lap top? I don't know if the system requirements for ESO have been mentioned yet, but with the videos out, perhaps someone can make an educated guess. Obviously this lap top will need to play ESO, preferably at least somewhere in the mid-range settings. I am wanting a 17.3 inch screen hopefully, and it will need to have wireless internet capabilities. And at the most affordable price. I have almost $600 saved up. Obviously I will need to save up a bit more but, would like to keep that amount of time down as much as possible. Other than that I am open. Greatly appreciated if anyone here could offer advice.

Build it yourself. I'm not sure where you are on the world but if you live in the UK there are some really good custom PC / Laptop manufacturers out there - I'm not going to drop any names because I don't want to appear like a representative of that particular company but searching 'custom built PCs / laptops' or something to that effect in Google will give you the best companies at the top of the first page. It's bound to be the same if you're in continental Europe, Australasia, North America or Japan.
And some adivce - pay big or don't pay at all. In the past I've brought computers people insisted were 'great value for money' and 'amazing midrange,' etc. Don't listen to them. I've estimated in the UK you have to spend at least £700 (not sure what this is in USD) or more to get a computer that is:

1) Going to last at least two years without showing any signs of age
2) Not going to require any expensive upgrades (upgrading really burns into the wallet over time) for several years
3) Can run all games on the market at top, or near top graphics really, really smoothly.

Finally, get a laptop cooling pad. If mobility is essential (I'd otherwise advice getting a desktop for gaming) then you'll need this to keep your computer cool whilst gaming, because your computer getting hot greatly decreases its lifespan.

I'm afraid nobody knows ESO's specs at the moment, but I imagine them to be fairly high. Besides, you won't want to spend so much money for one game alone. Look at other games you like / want and see their specs as well, and keep that in mind when purchasing.

Gaming laptops start at $1000 and are usually closer to $1200-1400. Are you sure you want one?

I've been out of the loop on this forum for a good bit but I'm guessing system requirements haven't been released yet?

If not, I would wait till they do and possibly even wait till they release a benchmark. That way you would have more info.

If the engine is optimized and scaled correctly you won't need a beast lap top to run it at decent settings.

notebooks are not particulary good for gaming, you should consider to buy a stationary PC. should also be cheaper with respect to performance. i agree, a proper gaming laptop starts somwhere at $1000 and above.
