EA cancels Medal of Honor.....

Yes, who cares right? Well...honestly....as much as I hate EA I do enjoy the MoH series. Ever since it's first release way back in 1999. I've always loved the series. I grew bored of it, yes. But then in 2010 while I was in the middle of my boycott of EA and it's products my wife gave to me on Christmas day the MoH reboot. I did play it. I did enjoy it. In fact, I played it so much that I beat it on Christmas day. It was a short game, but the story was actually pretty good. Then I ended my boycott and bought Battlefield 3. Which did not work for me and I again boycotted EA. But again, my boycott ended several months ago when I say MoH: Warfighter was on sale for $29. I bought it. I'm 99% through it and while I feel it isn't as good as the 2010 reboot the story is still fairly good; with the exception of Preacher's one man army on the boat mission. I'm left scratching my head on that one.

I was....to my dismay...looking forward to a new MoH this year...or maybe next. But then I find this article:

http://www.3news.co.nz/EA-axes-Medal-of-Honor-series/tabid/418/articleID/285239/Default.aspx (I still don't know how to make it a sentence)

and I'm once again saddened by the dropping of the MoH series.

I did eventually get Battlefield 3 to work. I thoroughly enjoyed it as well, but I did not feel like it's story lived up to the 2010 MoH story. I actually felt for Rabbit and crew.

I just replayed MoH from 2010 again yesterday, from start to finish it took me maybe 7 hours. But it was still awesome 3 years later.

I know a lot of people hate EA; myself included. But I'm really bummed out that they've gone and cancelled MoH again. It truly does go to show how much EA cares more about $$$$ than they do about their games fans.

I don't know why I like MoH so much. It could be that EA tries to follow some sort of story, or that they actually get ex-military to help on their games. Yes, I know they are games and are BS but they do kind of try to follow some sort of, based in reality or whatever. I stopped liking CoD after Modern Warfare. Then the games got silly. I'm hoping the BF series can mature and live up to the MoH series. Like I said, I did like BF3, but I feel that the story just wasn't as good.

Is anyone other than me bummed about this news? Or am I the only one?

The bottom dollar svcks. I'm still PO'd at EA because they have so many titles under their control, and refuse to touch them. Dungeon Keeper is one game I continue to sight where all they've done with the game's name is give permission to a company overseas to make some half-baked MMO.

I will shed no tears for when EA takes a dirt nap as a company.

Nor will I. I just hope that they sell of their back catalog to a company that will actually make or release games.
