I've seen a lot of official data on the races of each faction, with Imperials being entirely left out, but I've seen no official data stating that Imperials will not be a playable race. Is this just implied, or has there been any official statement regarding this that I've simply yet to see?

Personally, I would like to see Imperial playable as a fourth race in all three factions. Surely not all Imperials live in Cyrodil and support the Empire! They could serve as the generic race, capable of any class design but excelling in none, similar to Humans in DnD.

The Cyrodiil'ians are not playable in ESO, it's been confirmed.

They should become playable later, and I hope they would be a distinct faction.
