Cooking Skyrim's Cuisine

Post » Thu Mar 14, 2013 7:34 pm

I'm waiting for my Moroccan meat balls to cook and that got me thinking (well actually I was thinking about my new kind of http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1449378-a-new-kind-of-battlemage/ and why my new Khajiit follower, Khario, has no spices from Elsweyr that I can use for cooking). I like cooking and was thinking about taking one of Skyrim's dishes and cooking it exactly how one would in game, just to see if it's any good. I would cook it using a cast iron pot on an open flame, just as the do in game. Not sure what recipe mabye one of the stews or soups. Has anyone done this? Probably not, seems quite sad but there you go.

I think I might do the Apple and Cabbage soup or Cabbage Potato soup. Because I'm not wasting perfectly good meat for something so silly.

Some of the soups and stews should turn out ok. The potato and cabbage soup could be done. (Yes, I know there are people who can burn water, but ignore them for now.) Most of the meats are grilled. The adding of spices other than salt seems to be a bit vague, garlic used here and there. I think most Skyrim food would turn out alot like the camp fire cooking it's based on.
