Huge Job Offer

Post » Wed Mar 20, 2013 4:04 am

Ok so I was just offered a huge job out in Arizona installing satellites for the Government my employer(who is my friends father) said after taxes I would be bringing home a grand a week. The only problem is if I should take it and relocate across the country and switching my national Guard unit. I think I might do it. I love my job now but it doesn't come close to what I would be making as a Civilian Contractor.

So, you've already answered yourself and yet, you've come to the BGSF to ask if you should do it?

If you don't, I will. How's that for an answer?

I'm guessing you aren't married. No kids. So there should be absolutely nothing stopping you. Put the transfer in with the Guard, pack your [censored] and take the job.

Arizona can be a nice place to live, if you can handle the Summers there.

However, before you move, Google the company in question and look for the dirt. Have they had a lot of turnover? Are they hiring because they have a plan or just got a bunch of extra orders that they need to fill.

Oh, and if this is for a place like Dish (TV satellite), then you can kiss your weekends, holidays, nights and days off good bye. You will be installing customers on Thanksgiving and Christmas day.

Its Civilian Contractors for the Government and its Military Grade Satellites so I will working on a Army base which I am more than used to. I talked to the owner and he said its a full time thing and since I am good friends with his son and he knows of my military background he wants to hire me. He has been doing this for about 25 years so longer than I have been alive haha

You'd be really stupid if you didn't jump on this. If the guy is a family friend and he wants to hire you....stop sitting there asking if you should. DO IT!!
