You mean like the lore changes between Skyrim and Oblivion?

Depends on what lore they're screwing up. So far I have apparently missed any lore that is being effected...

If you're referring to the recently-announced cross-faction zones at level 50 feature, keep in mind there's apparently a story reason they're going to cook up for that. Something sounding like you're going to go in "pretending" to be one of their faction. The exact hint given was: "Maybe there's a lesson in seeing the world through your enemy's eyes"

Quite badly. Because it has ramifications on the single player series, and I detest the thought of lore from the last three to four TES games being changed because of a spin-off game from a different studio.

You mean like the lore changes between Skyrim and Oblivion?

More like lore changes such as the 'transcription error' on the part of Michael Kirkbride, some in-game texts and Heimskr's dialogue. And the fact that recorded history is supposedly wrong, and the Aldmeri Dominion was actually fighting a war several years before we thought it was formed.

yeh i mean that the Alderi Dominion shouldn't have offically existed quite yet, as well as other changes, and I love the history of TES so when the just used 'transcription error' that just ticks me off

The early formation of an as-yet unknown First Dominion doesn't bother me, but some of the other changes they've made do have me cocking an eyebrow. I wouldn't, however, say that I'm taking a particularly dour view of TESO yet - there are some things that concern me, but by and large the stuff so far is explainable or reconcilable, albeit with a good bit of Monkey Truth in some cases. Even the AD's Queen can be explained as a naive and overyoung political figurehead, no matter how active a role she seems to take. There have always been shadow powers lurking behind the face of the Aldmeri nation - I see no particular reason that should change now.

If they do something like give Crystal-Like-Law the same treatment they've given the bits of Summurset we see, now, that might be cause for alarm and genuine consternation.

I don't know why but CHIM bothers me much more than "transcription error."

Personally, it's because everything we know about the lore is from fallible authors. I find it easier to believe that "they got things wrong" than something like the warp in the west, which honestly makes no sense whatsoever.

Why dont you state specifically what part of the lore is messed up and we can talk about that?

Like I said, I don't know why. History is always being told and retold and refined and distorted by who's documenting it irl. That makes sense to me. CHIM, to me, seems like a cheap "a wizard did it" retcon excuse.
