a sandbox experiment!

hey i just got this crazy idea, what if ZOS tries to make a separate server to experiment with a game that has no faction locks, no per made alliances!!!!

do you think that would produce good results

what I think would happen is that people will "naturally" form alliances on their own, and the game become much more organic

what do you think, this is a hypothetical scenario so don't fret about if they will or will not actually do it.

just what do YOU think will happen?????

It's hard to imagine ESO in a pure sandbox model due to the game being based around the war over Cyrodiil.
If there were no premade factions how would they crown an emperor? How would the faction bonuses from controlling Cyrodiil apply, etc..

Now, Cyrodiil aside, I believe the game would play out fairly well, player made factions, player made trading outpost's, etc... I think it'd have potential.

I think it would make for something very very interesting and I will love to play under those circumstances.
Jealously arising because a a member or your alliance got the crown, splinter groups forming different racial alliances even if the main consensus is to be at war with them

TESO just doesn't have the features to be a sandbox and not even a hybrid MMO, not having faction locks wouldn't make a slight be of difference. If you compare TESO to certain hybrid MMO's that are coming you would realize that TESO is a themepark MMO no matter what changes were made.
