I have a laptop. I also have a tv With hdmi input.

When I plug my laptop into my tv, it really seems like my gamin fps increases than when it isn't. My laptop screen is 1080p hd, and my tv is also.

Is this due to my laptop not having to allocate power or w/e for the display because my tv has its own power supply? When I do this I make my laptop screen turn off so it's only displaying the image on my tv instead of both.

Any truth to this or am I imagining things?

Better refresh rate, possibly?
