Lately I've been receiving alot of Runescape Account Notice emails (even though I don't and have never played Runescape) and with each email, the "TO:" subject line has a completely different email address listed from my own, except for that the first 5 characters of the intended email address are the same as the first 5 characters of my email address. So basically, I am receiving account notices for any Runescape player that has the same first name as me. That also means I can't unsubscribe from these emails since my address isn't actually IN their database to begin with.

What you are getting are phish mail.

I don't know if this means anything, but the more recent one I got (and the only one that is still sitting in deleted items) is a notice saying that the recipient is suspected of selling their account and violating the EULA. It then asks the recipient to click on a link to verify that they are the true owner of the account. I don't get the logic behind that at all. But in any case, I didn't dare click the link and emptied the bin.

You click the link you enter info, they use that info to steal account.
