I think this is becoming a prevalent issue within EVERY game.

Diablo attempted to curb it through their RMAH, this didnt work very well. Gold farmers were simply willing to go as low as the RMAH was. Although it was easier/safer to obtain gold through the auction house, it was still cheaper to obtain it from farmers.

Other then actively scanning/banning those who engage in it.. Im not sure much can be done.
The issue that arises is account theft and then banning players who truly arent involved in the process (This happens alot in wow)

Is there really any way to stop it? If so, what do you think can be done?
Is there a way for us as a community to police this?

its my opinion that this can not be fully stopped. measures can be put into place to try and stop it but they will always find a way

Agreed... I have seen games go to extremes to remove it and they ruined the game experience in the process. Runescape is a good example of this... chop a few trees and get teleported to weird place to prove you are not a bot.

Only way to stop gold farms....have people stop buying gold. Only way they will ever disappear.

Nothing you can do about it, best to worry about your own game instead of trying to police something you can't stop.

Just do your part and spam the heck out of them when you are contacted by them.
