Flabbergasted

So I play this little phone game called Marvel: War of Heros. It's a simple trading card game, the money comes from buying card packs that vary from 1-7 cards. There are various levels of rarity. I was attempting to trade an equal rareity card for another, I was shocked to see that the guy wanted $300 dollars for the card. The only way to get power packs is to purchase them for $1, effectively makeing it the currency of the game, he would settle for no less than 300 of 'em.

This [censored] blew my mind. I am literally dumb struck by this. This is the exact reason I don't pay for games or partake in micro transactions.

Anyone else have experiences with things of this nature, on this scale.
