A video from the closed beta was leaked recently (and subsequently taken down by Zenimax) and ignoring the facts that the person who leaked it did it to give ESO bad media attention, and really didn't post it to show anything but "how bad the graphics were", I liked what I saw and am looking forward to the game even more now. I can't explain why the graphics weren't the same as what was being shown at PAX, though, so if anyone has that information, that would be nice to know.

I liked the way the player came across a dead body on the beach, and looting the body resulted in a quest. The area seemed lively enough for a starting hub, and the voice acting was done well. The combat looked very fluid, and the death system is a very welcome addition to the MMO genre, in my opinion. The phased exp and loot system looks like it will work really well to help with the grind of "kill 10 rats" missions as well, since really all you have to do is tag a mob someone else is attacking, and you'll get credit for the kill. It also helps solve the problem with people trying to help you kill a group of mobs without worrying about the typical "I had it under control" response they'd usually get, since judging from the video, you'll be thankful for the help of others, often.

The video was about 20 minutes of the start of the game, and since the leaker was too busy not really caring about actually playing the game, not alot of the game was shown, but it was enough to hype me up some more. And no, I will not reveal the source of the video, and neither should anyone else, since it is against the rules, of course.

I'm not entirely sure it's a wise move to create a thread about another thread that was closed and removed on these forums. Especially about one pertaining to leaked beta information. Also, your thread title is misleading. Don't be surprised if this thread gets closed and/or removed.

Likely the person playing had a mediocre rig and was playing on medium or low settings. Graphics are the very least of my concerns.

Haven't seen the video myself.

ZOS really need to release some high-end rig gameplay to assuage people.

So, unless I am missing something, I am fully within my rights to make a thread about the video itself, as long as I am not devulging where I found the video. I am simply excited about seeing something new about ESO.

Edit; I was unaware of another thread such as this. I actually looked through the first couple pages before I made my thread, so this is most definitely not a reply to said thread.

Of course it did, even if it was leaked beta footage, the comments in the thread is valuable community feedback. Deleting such threads would be a waste.

Graphics were very poor in comparison to the previous leaked videos. The player briefly opened up the graphics settings, where they were shown as being set to High for Texture resolution, but they were also showing as "Custom" for options. I would say the user has the advanced settings turned down really low in order to get decent fps for recording on a low spec machine.

The graphics from the other videos, particularly the leaked PAX tutorial video showed far superior graphics and texture quality.

I saw his computer, it was good enaugh to run Teso on highest.

The software he used to record was epic fail , thats why graphics looked bad

You are indeed missing something here. Most notably the fact that you start your thread with 'Leaked Beta Video'. And according to http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1451809-links-to-leaks-and-scanned-material/ we don't look kindly upon those that break them.


So you were 'within your rights' (as much as rights allow on a private forum) to discuss aspects of the game, but starting with a blatantly obvious thread title like the one you have chosen is not allowed. As such we enact our rights and close this thread.
