"Sony has launched the world's fastest home Internet service in Tokyo, Japan. The new fiber-based service is capable of 2Gbps download and 1Gbps upload, besting that of Google Fiber. Not only is Sony's new Internet faster, it's also cheaper, coming in at just $51 per month."

I feel like it more plays into the whole "instantaneous" desire the people of Japan have. They want it now. No time to wait for a 30 MB file to DL. Click, and receive.

Although, yes, I'm sure some people can utilize that. I myself have been to Japan a couple of times, and that's the vibe I get there. Very tech. Very modern.
