Hi,
I tried several times to install my newly acquired Starfleet Academy game on Windows XP, unsuccessfully.
When I click on "Install" in the Autorun pop-up menu, first it want me to install Direct-X 5! As you can imagine, if I say yes it tells me it is already successfully installed, but then it does not try to start the Install.
If I say no to installing Direct-X 5, it seems to want, then, to proceed with the Install, but all that happens is that the screen goes black. That's it.

I tried switching the compatibility mode in the Autorun file to "Windows 98/Windows Me", but it still doesn't work.

Not knowing much about computers myself, I went through all the files and in their properties, switched everyone I could the the same compatibility setting, but still all I get is a black screen and then nothing.

Anyone knows if there's a way to make this game work on XP?
