More than the Traditional MMO

Post » Sat Apr 20, 2013 5:34 am

I have spent the past few days reading thru the MANY posts and discussions, of course not all but a great deal. What I have gathered here for the most part is that, People seem to really want this game to be similar to Skyrim and not just another Copy/Paste MMO. We want more than an MMO, and I have to completely agree. I have played many MMO's for a long time now and In my opinion, they are becoming more and more basic, not much evolution. I do understand this though from the developers point of view, it can be dangerous to make something new and innovative from a mere marketing stand point and of course profits too. I guess what I hope to see in this game that I will have the first day it comes out, is many of the things that has made all Elder Scrolls games so fantastic, and then add in a community to play with. That, in my opinion again, is more than a traditional MMO.

I have to 100% agree. I have been searching for that epic MMO that I can enjoy for years.

My MMO story started with Runescape (The Classic Version).... I had never played anything so open and free before. I could literally do or be anything. No classes.... no set crafting choice... Just max out everything and pvp to my hearts desire.

After that it was WoW (pre-Burning Crusade).... I had never paid for an mmo before, but right away it felt worth it. All the quests and the giant world, created an altoholic addiction that just couldn't be curbed.

My last long time mmo was LOTRO.... I always loved the lotr lore and this was my chance to live it (sorta). The music and artistic style immediately pulled me in for the long haul. Not to mention all the great community features, like the music/instrument system :tops:

Give us some idea of what you expect but remember when all is said and done this game is a mmo.
