Is it really worth the effort...?

Reading so many comments has brought forth a question that i would like to ask all of you?

Are some of the things people ask for really worth putting in for the sake of it to be the best MMO experience that it can or are we asking for features in the game that we see in the Single Player TES games simply for the sake that it is in the game series?

I'm not talking about features that could go either way, some features will only add to the experience or may have not positive affect or negative affect. But i am talking about things like weight instead of items slots, first person over 3rd person view. Things like this make me wonder does the game actually become better because the traditional TES experience is involved?

In some fans minds, yes. Its the problem with most hardcoe fan groups. Look at pretty much any of the modding communities and how much flak "non lore friendly" mods used to (in some ways still do though most of it has been clamped down on) receive.

Mixed opinions on many of these. I suspect the majority will prefer slots rather than weight. Aside from the fact the weight model either penalises heavy armor users, or if stats based penalises magic users - really an unnecessary move either way.

There will be people who complain at every step - that is unavoidable. The toughie is spotting it and looking at the overall responses rather than the vocal few.

For the records, I prefer third person too.
