Media Players

Post » Sun Apr 21, 2013 7:53 am

About three months ago I stopped using iTunes because I had become fed up with Apple and their products. So I searched and searched for a new place to organize and play music. I came across Media Monkey, which sounded pretty good so I gave it a shot. Over the past three months I've had constant problems with songs becoming "corrupted" and they won't play.

Once again I'm looking for a new media player and was wondering if you guys and gals have any good suggestions.

Winamp is still perfectly serviceable. Works better than anything else in my opinion.

I like VLC.

It only [censored] the image quality of videos. Do yourself a huge service and switch to MPC HC.

Then you're blind also. I've witnessed a massive difference in video quality between MPC HC and VLC, both with default settings and MPC HC was superior.

I'm still using Winamp, mainly because of the anime skins :P

Foobar2000 is good too.

VLC's WIndows default settings are pretty crappy, but video quality can be improved by changing them to be just as good as anything else.

However, VLC isn't a very rich media player when it comes to music.
