Hey guys. I've been thinking about this whole "alliance war" and it's sort of got me confused. So, if I'm not mistaken, all the alliances want to start a new empire right? So what does your faction do once they claim white gold tower? They don't automatically rule tamriel. So, what exactly is the point of conquering Cyrodiil and stopping there? I'm not sure what's being accomplished.

For that matter, what do some of the races want with Cyrodiil, or an empire anyway? What do the reclusive argonians want with Cyrodiil? Do they want their own empire? Will they just give it to their slavers the dark elves? Speaking of which, why do the dunmer want Cyrodiil? Aren't they really reclusive and insular as well? With 3 living gods to protect their homeland from basically anything?

Why do the redguards want a tamrielic empire when half of their people hate western culture and traditions? How exactly did the breton, who notoriously never get along with one another and dont even identify as a single race, unite under one dude and convince the orcs to help them out?

Now, I'm sure there's a logical explanation for all of these things, but the more I think about the alliance war the more my head hurts trying to justify everything. Anyone whose better at the lore than me know what's going on here?
