Microsoft Games for Windows agreement and Xbox 360 Compatabi

Post » Sun May 05, 2013 2:32 am

I am curious, and this is really a question tot he devs, but anyone can answer.

Why is the xbox360 controler not compatable witht he PC version of this game?

* According to the contract with Steam, and Microsoft, any games for windows MUST be compatable with the xbox360 controler.

Since this game is also on xbox360,

"why is there no option to use said controler in game, on the pc?"

And

"How is this game even allowed on Steam or to Show the Games for windows logo, when this is a clear violation of said contractual terms?"

Thanks
Mal

Never mind. Wrong game.

Supposedly there's a workaround on the Splash Damage forum.

I have windows 7 and I use the xbox360 controler with skyrim and several other games.

Brink has no support of this controler and it will only allow you to use a mouse and keyboard, unlss you want to mod core game files with an editer (Which I don't, and have no idea how to do). You can google it, and forum after forum has complaints about it.

I even called Bethesda support, and they told me Brink is not compatable with it on the PC, When I asked about the contractual terms they hung up on me.... Twice.

The same people who have a computer, and prefer the reaction time of a console (Which is FAR faster then a keyboard and mouse, especially in a game designed on and for a console and controler like, Brink) without paying $400.00 extra dollars to buy an xbox360 and another 50.00 for Brink....
