Samuel does nothing to leave for the lady boyle mission. He says I need some potion or whatever it is I use. What do I do?

There's only two things I can think of that might help you. Did you interrogate Sokolov either by giving him the Brandy you bought from Piero or by letting plague rats into his cell? Did you talk to Lord Pendleton to get the letter to deliver to Lord Shaw? I hope this helps you.

I did both. When I walk to Samuel he leans over to me but there is no text dialog, neither does he say anything.

I replayed the entire royal physician mission. Now I'm once again stuck with the same problem. Samuel says some thing like ' consider visiting Piero. Might need some potions or arrows or whatever it is you use.' Last time I went to piere and bought some stuff. But this time Piero's shop isn't even open. There is a note saying he is upstairs, but he's nowhere to be found

Found him, followed him to his shop and bought everything my money could buy. Went to Samuel, same thing over again. He leans towards me and no dialog comes up. Is there anything speciefic I have to buy from Piero in order to launch the mission?

I read a couple of other posts about this problem. Ridiculous as it sounds, one 'fix' is to jump into the water and get bitten by a fish! Once back on land, Samuel is functioning again.

Perhaps Corvo needed to prove what a real man he was before Samuel would even acknowledge his existence!
