Can't seem to play on windows 7 or xp. How do I get it to play on my system. It only wants to load in dos only.

You need to use DOSBox. We suggest a front end to make it easier to use:

Probably a company policy that they could not during the legal battles.

Now, they probably are still trying to sort things out, and are not allowing employees to make any comments until gamesas has an official statement/announcement and new policy (I hope).
