Did anybody play the game like this with no Inventory,no maps and so on?

Gold is spent on stuff in the 'Crucible' game mode - designing levels/maps.
The game doesn't have an inventory or maps like a rpg, it doesn't need them. The items are equipped automatically when you pick a new one up, like Halo or Gears of War.
