If Dishonored was a text adventure... (PC Gamer)

Post » Sun May 05, 2013 1:40 pm

I love Dishonored (as hundreds of my posts here have made no secret about), but here is a hilarious article in PC Gamer about it: http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/12/24/the-text-adventures-that-never-were-dishonored/.

It's a short but totally hilarious parody that I thought others here would enjoy too.

Yes, it had me in stitches! Especially the non-lethal guards and the Outsider bits. :D

Haha, I enjoyed reading that.

[edit] exception: people should stop whining about the high chaos ending already.

On a sidenote - was I the only person who just did NOT steal any stuff from the Hound Pits? It just did seem odd to take the stuff of your new friends. I really didn't do that (at first at least).

Um, er,.... [looks shamefaced]....

I fleeced everybody with exception of two: the people wandering the streets looking for food and scraps - who wore purses. I DID feel utterly horrible one time when I tried to talk to the woman on the waterfront but forgot I was crouched - and instead of speaking to her the action swiped her purse. Oh EVIL!!! It's a game - yes, only a game, but I think that was the biggest moment I wished for an "Undo that horrible thing you just did" button.

Now there's an idea for a new Dishonored game: the objective to snatch all that gold from the likes of Boyle's place and give to the needy as they rebuild Dunwall.

I didn't feel bad in the slightest. Pendleton made me uneasy, so I just nabbed everything from everyone, leaving the servants and the poor alone only (mostly because I figured it wasn't worth the effort). Piero probably got the most stuff stolen; I was always around that area, and he always had stuff to take.
