Transitions like this are always difficult. The original QC forum was something I visited 3 to 4 times a day. Only in the last few years have I started actively posting. Based on the situation, I do appreciate Bethesda stepping up and hosting the forum, but we can't help but feel like the new PC step child entering a house fool of Mac happy kids. The original forum was small in structure, as far as the active members, and now its a blip on the radar in a giant community. It is somewhat ironic in how it seems to mirror the seeming transition of Quakecon, which started out small and community oriented, and its growing into a more corporate, growth oriented lan. Just my observation.
Ultimately, growth is almost always positive and for the betterment of something. It seems that all signs are pointing towards a bigger, and better Quakecon, now the question remains, is it for the betterment or determent?
