"Dishonored has stopped working" error

Hi guys, I'd appreciate it if you could help me with this problem I have; I'd post it on the Steam forums but it's a bit technical and there's no image support there.

My Dishonored installation was working fine on Steam until it randomly crashed while I was playing through for the third time, and when I tried to boot it up again it wouldn't start (either saying "Dishonored has stopped working" or loading as a blackscreen 800 x 480 window/a window with only a titlebar ("Dishonored (Not responding)").

This is the error I get when it crashes on startup:

"Direct3DDevice -&--#62; CreateTexture(SizeX, SizeY, NumMips, GetD3DTextureUsageFlags(Flags), (D3DFORMAT)GPixelFormats(Format).PlatformFOrmat, GetD3DTexturePool(Flags), Texture 2D -&--#62; GetInitReference0, NULL) failed at V;\Dishonored\UnrealEngine3DLC\Development\Src\D3D9Texture.cpp:130 with error D3DERR_INVALIDCALL SizeX = 320, Size Y=0, Format=FloatRGBA=D3DIDFMT_A16B16G16R16F, NumMips=1, Flags=D#DUSAGE_RENDERTARGET, TexMemoryAvailable = 1688 MB."

And then a whole bunch of "Address = 0x" with number strings and "(filename not found) in a location in either the Steam folder or the windows folder.

I've already tried the Steam Support page for Dishonored, and have tried running it as compatible with Windows XP, adding "-dxlevel 81 -windowed" to the Launch Options in Steam, reinstalling completely (Deleting local files and also manually deleting any Dishonored files on my system before reinstalling), and have tried manually installing the files in the C:\...\steam\steamapps\common\Dishonored\Binaries\Redist folder. Nothing's changed, and I get the same exact error regardless of what I do.

Hope you guys can help, and thanks in advance.

(There might be some errors in how I copied the message error, because I couldn't post an image here and had to type it up.)
